Do It Yourself Wedding Flower Guide

Do you want to save 50-75% of your
wedding flower bill?

Are you planning your own wedding or helping a friend or family member plan theirs and you’re trying to figure out how you (or they) are going to pay for everything?

Planning a wedding is expensive isn’t it?

Hi there, I’m Angie Zimmerman , the Wedding Flower Diva and author of the “Do It Yourself Wedding Flower Guide”!  I actually design wedding flowers for a living but I’m not here trying to suggest that you hire me to do your flowers… I actually have developed a way for you to SAVE A TON OF MONEY doing your own flowers!  Read on and find out what I’m talking about…

First of all, you’re probably wondering why a wedding floral designer like me decided to come up with a do-it-yourself wedding flowers product that would compete with what my business is all about, right?

Well I have a long history and many years of experience in wedding flower design and I absolutely LOVE what I do BUT I also know that I can’t help everyone with their flowers.  To read more about me and why I’m doing this if you’re interested click here.

Not only am I just one person and can only manage so many weddings each year myself but I also realize that there is a big percentage of brides and moms or families of brides and grooms that want to do their own wedding flower arrangements for whatever reason.

In fact I did a survey just recently to a bunch of previous and current brides that I had in my files and the most common reason for them wanting to do their own flowers was, of course… To save money!

And I know that by doing your own flowers – making a bridal bouquet, and wedding flower arrangements you CAN save a good amount of money.

So, my question to you is….

Do you want to save 50-75% of your wedding flower bill?

The problem is that most brides or their family members who are actually planning on creating the floral designs really don’t know HOW to do them so they look professional.  Right?  You probably agree that you or the person offering to do them for you doesn’t have any real floral design training, right?

Plus you often forget important aspects of doing your own flowers that could prove ‘deadly’:

  • Not knowing where to get inexpensive, quality flowers to use
  • Not knowing how to make a bouquet or arrangement so it holds up all day
  • Not knowing how to properly store the flowers and bouquets
  • Not knowing all the materials that are needed to produce the bouquets and arrangements so they look professionally designed and kept

So, I thought, why not SHOW you, the do-it-yourself bride how to design your flowers the RIGHT WAY so they’ll look really great on your wedding day instead of taking a chance that they don’t look so good or last throughout the whole day.

Besides…. I have a ton of resources that I can share to make SURE you really save money doing this yourself – or what’s the point right?

So, when you buy my
“Do It Yourself Wedding Flower Guide and DVD Set”

Here’s what you get:

5 DVDs, one covering how to design each floral aspect of your special day:

  1. Bouquets
  2. Corsages and Boutonnieres

Additionally, I am going to include a Bonus section when you purchase the entire set. This includes another DVD with more than 1 hour of instruction showing you how to process your flowers, the tools you will need and more.

The Bonus section is packed with information about:

  • How to get a business license
  • How to get a resale license
  • How to process the flowers
  • Where to buy your flowers
  • A list of the most commonly used flowers
  • The stem counts for when you need to figure out how to order them and how many to order
  • Where to buy floral supplies like wire, tape, bouquet holders, ribbon, vases, floral foam and more.
  • You will also get information on storing flowers, transporting flowers, maintaining flowers and so much more that you would never know unless you were a wedding floral designer yourself!

I have really thought this through.  I don’t think I’ve left anything out.  I am offering you two ways to buy my Do It Yourself Wedding Flower Guide and DVDs.  You can either buy it now and download it right away (for less money) or you can buy a hard copy and have it shipped to you.

Now, from my survey, you’ve told me that bridal bouquet ideas was the most important information you wanted to learn about.

There are so many design styles and some are more complicated than others.  For the sake of simplicity and being able to teach you how to do this yourself, I am focusing on easy to do bridal bouquet ideas, corsages, boutonnieres, centerpieces, church/ceremony décor.

In the “Do It Yourself Wedding Flower Guide” I show you how to make all the design styles of bouquets:

  • Hand tied bouquets
  • Cascade bouquets
  • Crescent bouquets
  • Composite bouquets
  • Tussie mussie bouquets
  • Nose gays
  • Pomanders
  • Biedermeier bouquets
  • Presentation bouquets
  • Toss bouquets

The easiest of all of these bridal bouquet designs is the hand-tied bouquet!  And, just by changing a flower color, or adding another flower type, you can change the appearance of the bouquet so easily!

For Example:  Over the years, RED has been a favorite color of brides.  So, you can make a big red rose hand-tied bouquet for you and then make smaller bouquets for your bridesmaids, using white and red roses.  You really need to think about how your pictures will look when choosing the flower colors.  You don’t want to put a red bouquet against a red dress.  The red flowers will blend with the red dress in pictures and the result will be you won’t be able to see the flowers!

You don’t want wilted, ugly bouquets, do you?

You don’t want to take a chance that your wedding party bouquets don’t hold up, DO YOU???  I’ve been hired to do just the reception flowers, while the bride decided to do her own bouquets.  I cringe when I see what they arrive with…WILTED, UGLY Bouquets!  And, it could have been so beautiful!

They just didn’t know how to choose the right flowers!

However, at that point, it is too late!  You’re stuck with those ugly, wilted bouquets and the pictures of them forever!  Don’t take that chance on your wedding bouquets.

My Personal Guarantee

Buy my DVDs and follow my instructions and you will be a happy bride!  I guarantee that if you follow my instructions, you will not walk into your reception with ugly, wilted bouquets!

In the Corsages and Boutonniere DVD you will learn how to make a variety of corsages and boutonnieres.  The fundamentals of wiring and taping flowers is the key to making corsages and boutonnieres that will hold up for you.  Your flower choices are also very important when it comes to corsages and boutonnieres.

Not all flowers hold up well enough to be used as a corsage or boutonniere.  You will see pictures and clips of corsages and boutonnieres that look great for the photo shoot in magazines, TV shows or websites, but in reality they will not hold up on your wedding day.

I tell you which flowers you should stay away from because of this!

In the Ceremony Décor DVD I show you a variety of decorating ideas for your ceremony site.  I include Church pew décor or chair end décor, Church Alter décor and/or front of ceremony décor, isle décor and entrance décor.

The ceremony is usually where you spend the least amount of your time; while the reception is where you spend the most amount of your time.  So, if you are on a limited budget, I recommend that you don’t spend too much money on the ceremony décor and instead put your money into the reception décor where you will get a bigger bang for your buck.

In the Reception Décor DVD I show you a variety of easy to do centerpieces; both floral and non floral.  Let’s face it, I can’t teach you everything I’ve learned over 18 years in a DVD , and frankly, there are some designs that are just way too complicated for a novice to do.  So, I give you plenty of examples of easy to do wedding flower arrangements and centerpieces with step by step instructions.

Again, you can easily change up the design just by changing colors or flower choices.  The techniques will be the same.

I’m so excited for you!  This is really fun to do.  And, you will feel such a sense of accomplishment when you see your beautiful work.  You will have a sense of pride when your guests comment on your gorgeous centerpieces and you can tell them, I did them!

A Very Important Hint:

You will have to allow time for this.

For the ordering, learning and designing of it all, of course, but unfortunately, flowers are perishable and therefore cannot be done too far in advance.  I recommend you do them the day or two before your wedding.  However, depending upon what flowers you are using and what time of year you are using them – fall wedding bouquets or summer wedding flowers for instance -, you may need to order those flowers in as much as a week earlier, to allow them to open properly.

So, the best case scenario (assuming you have a Saturday wedding) would be to gather up your bridesmaids and moms and aunts and friends on Thursday and start your wedding flower design.  On the Wednesday (three days before your Saturday wedding), pick up your flowers and process them.  Unless, you are using a flower that will need extra time to open.  You may have to order that particular variety earlier than the rest of your flowers so that they will be open enough to work with them two days before your wedding.

And **one of the most important things to remember** make sure you have ample refrigeration space to store your flowers both before and after they have been arranged.

If you don’t have ample refrigeration space to store your flowers, make sure you can turn up the air conditioning in a room where you can store your flowers.  I go over all of this in the Guidebook and Bonus section like I said.

Tropical flowers are the exception; they don’t like to be that cold so I tell you about what is best for them too.  No matter what, make sure you can store your corsages and boutonnieres in a refrigerator!  They don’t have a water source and MUST be kept refrigerated until you are ready to use them.

I cover ALL of the necessary information about buying your flowers and processing your flowers in the BONUS section of the guidebook.  I really recommend that you buy the guidebook and DVDs so you do miss out on how to do anything.

Oh, you want to know how much it is??
